If the Control4 Home Automation System controls everything does that mean most of my existing remote clutter can now go in a drawer?

DRAFT:
Yup, just by using a Home Theater Controller ($599.00 Retail) which includes a remote I have the basis for my home automation system. The Home Theater Controller controls my stereo equipment and with a Media Center PC the digital video and music.

With media extenders, video can now be distributed through-out your home too.
(TIVO implications/explanation - How does this work? Do TIVO stored movies become available to Control4 System connected TV's)

Oh, and pictures. I think I saw the ability (to pull in from 'MY Pictures' folder or by a paid subscription service) to use 'fine art' as wallpaper on my TVs.

Then I add a Wireless Thermostat for $249.00 Retail, and I'm saving money on my heat and A/C bills.

With a few wireless devices like switches and outlet dimmers ($99 - $179 Retail) I can control mood and start thinking about adding devices for my security needs.

With XXXX I can start adding music zones to my home for whole house sound and with my iPod attached household members can listen to different sounds in each zone.

And one day soon, we'll have wireless IP cameras for surveilance and security.

Hmm, I think I'm seeing light at the end of the 'couch-potato' tunnel!  Grin
